i would fabricate something to attach the srt4 clutch master cylinder to hook to your pedal, it will have to be below the pivot since the master cyls. are a push in style. bolt it to the firewall, make a rod that you can adjust. If ya weret 2 hours away id come up & help ya, lol.

What is the difference between the clutch pedals? Can't you use the clutch cable instead?

Nope... the stock transmission is non-hydralic, and the cable pulls on the fork to disengage the clutch, where as the SRT-4 transmission is a hydralic transmission and the master cylinder needs the pedal to push instead of pull to disengage the clutch. AKA, the place the clutch connects to the pedal needs to be below the pivot point, not above

Could you swap the bellhousing on the SRT-4 clutch to make it a cable clutch?

...? What do you mean? I'd love to be able to keep it cable clutch- alot simpler! I dont like hydralic clutches >.< Kinda how I dont like the new Chevy trucks- they drive too much like cars, you cant feel anything when you drive em!

I know if a first gen owner wants to use a 2nd gen hydraulic tranny, all we have to do is swap the 1st gen bellhousing to make it a cable clutch tranny.

I don't know if the 1st gen bellhousing will work on an SRT-4 tranny though.

Hmm, that would be worth looking into! Go and buy a junk tranny (Or look over in racerx55's direction) and try it... I'll ask around the other forums too! Thanks Das!

i dont have a spare bell housing yet, but if i come across a junk transmission, ill be sure to grab it, just so you can find out if it fits.
The gearbox half of the srt4 looks alot bigger, but the bellhousing half might be changeable.
