Default Lets see your classic truck

Lets see your old dodge! I am getting some work done on my '83 state truck. Here is a picture of my truck before i nailed a deer with it.

Getting my wheels painted, and looking for some dog dish hubcabs. Need to get my paint matched and paint my new fender, and reassemble the busted up front end. New door seals, new shocks. New brakes, and figure out why my truck dont start very well and then its cruis'n time.

Aaron

Heres my '81, after I cut the coils and flipped the rear leafs. I did the stripe one morning with some tape and a spray can. Just needed an idea of what it would look like. The finished product will be a wider stripe. I also painted the hood flat black.

How many coils you cut out in front. Also you flipped the leafs or put the axle on top of leafs Thanks Eric

I put the leafs below the axles. I cut about 1-1/4 coils out.
The plan is to use a full tubular, coilover, rack and pinion, race suspension up front, and a 4 link in the rear. The 4 link may take some time, so I'll probably run the leafs for a while.
This winter the truck will be stripped to the frame, which will be sanded, painted and boxed.
Also will be installing the Cummins 4bta, with TH475 trans.
I'm slow, so it will take at least a year before it's back up and running.
I'll be re-doing the dash, with race gauges, set in aluminum deck plate.
Still debating on the final color, either purple/black stripes, or lime green/black. The orange/black would probably be OK if it was the right shade and a good job. PO painted it and it looks like at least part of it was brushed on.
I want to use the R/T decals, (Rapid/Truck), with the Cummins race stripe around the back.
I have a friend who can make any decals I want.
