Default Hood scoop?

I am thinking about putting on a scoop.
I am old school,so I do not want one of those ugly oval/round kind.
Maybe a mopar pro ram,low snorkel,or home made one off.
What are some thoughts out there.

I'm thinking you may be best off buying one for something else and doing some cutting and welding. Nobody seems to make cool parts like that for our trucks. The ridge in the middle might give you some trouble, but I'm sure you could smooth out the necessary changes, or have a body shop do it, considering your truck is too nice for a shade-tree body man like me to mess up. I like the ones I found here http://www.up22.com/scoopw1.htm#SC-116-3

I like the idea of sc-107, and sc-106 on a ram.

Those Dart scoops in black would look great and I also like the Challenger T/A snorkel on the website wontacceptthis posted. Both would look especially good on your truck since it has that HotRod look to it. It looks FAST just sitting still IMO!

They made the TA hood for these trucks, but I do not want to get one and find out I have to cut it open to clear the next project coming up.
I am looking for a single scoop for the middle of the hood.

I know this is a dead topic but I was just looking up to see if anybody has done a snorkel and I was looking at the last posted link to usbody sourse and I was thinking the R/T hood looks pretty sweet. Anybody have any experiences with them? It looks like you have to cut out spots on the hood yourself

I purchased a hood from them and had no problems with them but that was 4-5 years ago. Recently I put a scoop on from Unlimited Products and they also make a quality product:

http://www.up22.com/scoopw1.htm#SC-1023

I put my scoop on mainly to get the heat out from under the hood and it has worked far better than my expectations. I've dropped nearly 20 degrees in engine temp when hot, idling in traffic and when going slow off-road.

Here is a link to some pic's I took while working on it.

As far as a snorkel; I have seen some done but they were all custom since no one makes a kit that is bolt on for our trucks.
