They usually go bad at the rag joint, so I'm assuming that's what he meant. It's the hunk 'o nylon the two halves of the shaft bolt to. The stock replacement can be found at nearly any parts store for $15, and its pretty universal. It looks like a nylon donut with 4 holes in it.
The generally accepted upgrade is this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/br...dge/model/w150
The stock rag joint replacement will wear out again. The borgeson shaft should have far less "normal" play, and could outlast the truck.

yea thats what he was talking about its been 3 weeks since i talked to him had it all on piece of paper but my gf lost it haha... aka threw it out. so i couldnt remember at all what it was. so if i orderd that part right there that should be the one to replace the one i need?
If you order the one I hyperlinked to, it will replace your whole steering shaft. It is an upgrade. You don't need to do it, but you can if you want to get your steering as tight as possible.
At a minumum, you will need this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/br...dge/model/w150
I opted to replace just the stock nylon coupler last summer. It's still good 12,000 miles later.
