owners manual disinformation.
I was using my owners manual to help with fuse location. After checking the back of the fuse panel I found it incorrectly labeled. 5 amp fuses running headlights and blank spaces needing fuses.
Trying to figure out why i am getting less than half a volt to run the instrument illumination lights.
the open fuse place on the right labeled 14 by the manual needs a fuse.

14 and 15 are listed as spare spaces in a 1987 Ram 150
. It's a federal truck.Truck is a 1987 ram 150 5.2 LB. 14 and 15 are listed as spare spaces in my 1987 ram 150 manual. There are female spade connectors in 14. Yes the one was rubbed of by the contact cleaner in the 14 position

I ordered a FSM almost five weeks ago, it shipped, and it is lost in the postal quagmire. I had the same problem earlier with a shirt that was to be a b-day present, 5 weeks to get from Denver to Baltimore. The tracking number stalled for ten days at a postal hub less than five miles from my home. Do you know if a Chilton will have needed complete schematics for my 1987 Ram 150? I tracked one down at an Advanced Auto.

I ordered some audio books on a thumb drive. It was supposed to take 5-7 days. It went past my house at least twice. Spent a week in Honolulu, went to Alaska, back to Honolulu, spent a while in California. All in all, it took 5 weeks to travel 200 miles. I have to wonder when my packages travel more than I do and more interesting places.

hahaha hey you are you getting too old to troubleshoot? 8 posts in and no one has asked the most important question. have you tried turning the headlight switch with them on? that may be why you are only seeing partial voltage. the more you rotate it the more power you should get to light up the gauges. rotate it till just before it clicks should be full brightness. if that doesn't work you may need a new headlight switch. the click should turn on the cab light just like opening the door.
