You really can't "ohm" it out, not on a 3 wire sensor. Do you have a meter that can read hertz?

Check volts or hertz from the output pin to ground.

Question

A question?

Did you do any work on the truck before this problem?

Anything? or think of something that happened no matter how trivial that you remember before the problem?

You need to check all the connections. There could be a problem with the harness.

OK today I had probed the crank sensor signal wire the black and light blue wire that sends the signal to the ecm/pcm turned the motor with a wrench was only getting 0.1 to 0.0 on volts same method I used to get the 5.1 volts with meter for power/ground on connector is that right or do you use ohms? Not sure.

The black with light blue tracer wire is the sensor ground. It should read 0v.

You want to probe the tan with yellow tracer wire and see what happens as you rotate the crank. It will should vary.

The orange wire should be 5v steady.

sorry it was that wire it would very between 0,0 to 0.1 and the orange to ground wire or orange to body ground would read 5.1 volt constant.
