Which wire varies?

If the tan with yellow it should vary much more than that.

yes the tan and yellow would show 0.1,0.0,0.1,0.0 as my son would turn the motor with a wrench. the orange and grounding to a ground would hold 5.0 volts.I still need to test the camshaft sensor to see if it does the same. may be couple of days. will get back with you .

ok I'm back this time i had cleared the trouble codes before testing my crank sensor and what I got was 5.0 to 5.1 as we turned the motor did not drop which is what i don't want (checked the wire going to ecm/pcm). What would that mean? Not sure how to check the camshaft sensor,do not have distributor which is the only instructions i have deals with distributor unhooking and grounding. Have the 4.7 motor.

I was wondering my old pcm had an software update sequence#748850. I don't know if my new pcm would have this on it or if it would have anything to do with it.

It's not related to your PCM update. If it worked AFTER it was updated it should still be working.

Something is odd with both your sensor readings. Could be a bad sensor.
