Can you post a picture of rear diff assy, that way i can tell you were the fill hole is at? Also would help if you posted the year and engine size too.Because the 2004 thru 2006 use a 8 1/4 and 9 1/4 rear diff. 2007 and up have the 9 1/4. All rear and front diff have fill hole. They may not have drain holes. Thats when you would one remove the cover or covers or two suck the fluid out.

I only ask if you can post a picture of the rear diff cover on your 2006 4.7L 45RFE/545RFE automatic transmission 4x2 with a 9 1/4 rear diff?

I did a 60,000 rear differential service two days ago on my 05 Durango with a 8.25 rear end. Can anyone tell me why the suggested fill volume and the actual fill volume would be different? I had to put in 3 quarts of synthetic 75W-140 to get it to the specified 22mm below the fill hole. Perhaps Valvoline is cheating us on volume, I don't know.

Here are a few pics of a 2007 Durango with a 9 1/4 rear end. One with the plug out, the plug and plug in. It's pretty obvious, shouldn't be an issue finding it.
