Ok so MSD is a waste of money, doesn't perform as well, and is more likely to harm your engine. Is there anything worth upgrading to the ignition other than spark plugs?
Routine plug and wire maintenance, check for corrosion, etc. Going with an Optima Red-Top Battery, and using a clean, common ground connection on your chassis may help with current and capacitance issues in the ignition system.

By far my custom srt exhaust on my sxt is not useless to me does wanders for her in shows they love my custom exhaust and is ok if you have the right mods to help it out for performance wise also. Im so sick of some of you putting down the srt exhaust on a sxt or r/t or es or 1st gen . They are the most popular exhaust on neons that arent srt4s these days just not on here.
It's not a question of whether people like it or not, it's a question of whether it actually performs better or not.

I'm not having issues with current or capacitance, just trying to see what would give better performance and HP.

For my sxt my srt exhaust performs nicely with the glasspack on it no back pressure lost and I dont care what anyone else says I love it and glasspack helps out greatly in alot of ways and a dual exhaust on a neon is only for looks anyways all of them even the borla unless you have a turbo of somekind.

Oh I forgot, those things won't have anything to do with performance... I just told you what would give you better performance and HP. And just like any other cheap mod, like plugs, air filter, etc., it's not much, but every little bit helps. Yes, capacitance in your ignition system can have a BIG effect on the performance of your engine. Just because you're "not having issues with... capacitance" doesn't mean that adding more won't improve your performance. If you don't want to believe it, that's your choice.

Well if everything is in good working order and already clean, then that's not really a tip to further increase performance and horse power.

I work with industrial electronics for a living, anything from 12VDC to 480VAC and higher. To make a long story very short, I will tell you that EVERY car like ours has a certain amount of strain on their electrical system from the factory. It can be improved relatively easily. The less strain, the more efficient things perform, including your ignition and engine. Yes, finding a common ground with lesser resistance and adding more capacitance to your electrical system and cutting out "apparent power" WILL improve the overall performance of your vehicle, and people have dyno'd cars to provethe results of this very simple concept.

Oh yeah...factory electrical grounds suck ***. Thats why your headlights "flicker" ever so slightly when you turn on the A/C, or roll down/roll up your windows, among other things.

Have you guys ever tried rolling up your windows with the A/C on? The AC like practically stops. Or if you're closing the sunroof and stuff? Man it's funny it's like all the accessories go dead.

Yeah they work, and when installed right can do wonders for your electrical system. The only problem is that many of the "grounding kits" that are sold by actual companies are way overpriced for what they are. You're much better off to do a little research and do it yourself, it'll make the difference from paying $200 forthe kit, and instead only paying $35 for the wire and connectors yourself.
