Cold Air Intake
I am expecting my intake to arrive tomorrow. When i install it what should i expect. From what i understand i was told i need to take the box off where my old filter is. does that need to come off or no? even after installation of the new one. I also understand that the front drivers side tire and the plastic panel and splash guard come off as well. its my first car and i dont have much exprience with vehicles. so is this going to be a nightmare taking all of that off? how long should it take..? Also, any tips for a beginner? lol. Thanks!

i just did one on my car. when you take the inner feinder off there is a air box you have to remove. also on your intake tube there is a hole for your MAF sensor, if there is no rubber gasket in there you will have to make one or buy one, you need that there. i have good instructions i will try and figure out how to post it on here. its on a adobe file.

I did this back in 2008 so my memory is a little fuzzy. Took a little over an hour but it was about 100 degrees that day so we took a break or two. It was pretty simple to do comes with instructions. Expect a cool sound, a little bit better throttle response, and a nice boost in fuel economy. I saw 5-7mpg increase with my particular intake.
