I was waiting till the 315's and new rims are on before taking pics.

 

1 Ton 3500 diesel plow, heavy plow spring, tag number 47, Mapor part number 52039047 load rating of 2036 lbs, pair capty 5,200 lbs. And tag #48 part number 52039048 is rated at 2236 lbs. The higher rated spring goes in the drivers side. Part numbers are from the 2001 parts book and might up-date.

See if these numbers match up with what Jimythefan has.

^^^ Thanks man, let me know what he comes up with. There is one other plow spring for the 3500 D and that's tag 46 it's for what is called a light plow.

How did you find that info? It's not in the parts manual, and even the dealer was no help. It sure would have saved me some time.

 

Sorry I would have helped earlier if I had known you needed a part number.

On page 53 of the 2001 parts book you will see part number 23, under that part number you will find a list of tag numbers, just had to figure out what tag number meant what for spring rates and so on. Once that is done go back to the parts book look up the tag number and you have a Mopar part number.

guess thats gonna be next years tax return mod, along with possibly ANOTHER new plow. fisher plows XLS is growing on me, BIG TIME!

unless i land a decent paying job to fund it all. need to do body work too.

 

Remember that most manufacturers only support vehicles for ~9-10 years. Those part numbers may be useless next year. The 2nd gens will be out of that window. We're already limited on what parts are still available as it is.
