Finally got to change the spark plugs today... the old ones didn't look that bad (certainly not as bad as I was expecting).

I re-routed the plug wires IAW TSB 18-48-98 whilst I was at it.

Next; I guess I'll try to hunt down the remaining vacuum leak.

Wife washed her car. Asked her to do the Ram.

When she stopped laughing at me, I went out and washed it myself. Cant get any respect at home...

noticed that my power steering fluid reservoir on my 81 was pretty much empty so i put some gear oil in it to keep things turning. then i drove over to my ramcharger and proceeded to top the reservoir with ATF. hopefully the input shaft seal will not leak this mixture of oil out so quick. also got to test out the amp and it sounds good but with the way it is currently set up it puts out too much kick even when i have the sub turned down using the stereo.

New to the forum. I have been reading and soaking up all I can about these trucks and what they are notorious for and some general specs from all of the past posts and Q&A that has happened here. Just finished a cam install today. I started Wednesday the 3rd and finished with the timing today. I went with the comp 20-744-9 its a 206/212 duration @.050 with .480 of lift. Truck has a nice very noticeable idle. Did the valve springs, valve stem seals, double roller timing set from comp, cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Put an offroad ypipe on it and new O2 sensor. Sounds very good. Since it is a 95 and is OBDI I am going to give the computer a couple of days to learn whats been done but the more I drive it the more power I feel. I chose this cam for the bottom end torque but the top end HP is outstanding. Desktop dyno said the cam will give 312HP@4200 and 406ftlb tq@2000. The HP I believe but not very impressed with the torque yet but I know my timing is not perfect so once I get it adjusted I will update.

Just a heads up. Turning the distributor does not adjust spark timing in these trucks, but will throw off fuel sync. So don't do that. Haha.

What did I do with my RAM today? Drove it to my Mom's house to do some work around her house. Needed the truck to haul my power washer and other equipment/tools. Really enjoyed putting it on the interstate. First time driving it after installing some coated JBA shorty headers that I found on craigslist.
