Today, I think I need to change some u-joints in the front axle. That should be fun.
I've got some clicking, clunking, scraping, and generally sounds like something is loose in my front end thinking it may be u joints since they got some age on them but I might just chance it for a while and see if any dana 60s show up in the junkyard. Should probably quit 4 wheeling in the meantime, anyway to check them?

Visually inspect them. See what things look like. Jack up the front, turn the wheels all the way to the lock, then turn the tires, see if there is any binding. if they have grease fittings, hit 'em. Mine took a LOT of grease before it started showing any. They were probably pretty dry.

I think the CV joint on my front driveshaft is going bad. About 80 bucks in parts to rebuild it......

Yeah, you'd have to think small, like maybe a ball warmer, or if you're really ambitious, one sock.

You need to check with the machine shop and see what block he is using. Is it an A block or a Magnum block? Also if you're going to spend the money to build a 408 buy some EQ heads.

Drove it to a nearby wildlife refuge just to take a look. Torque convertor didn't lock up, OD works so probably TCC solenoid. It's gonna stay that way until it warms up a bit, not even gonna crawl underneath to check wiring.
