Back in the day, you could leave with your truck and borrow a buddies 25' pull behind furnished (pay him rent), live in the camp ground and grill out the main meal and by day or night work your job until the next move. Or, buy your own 25' camper. K.

Ran into town for parts yesterday, was coming home and getting ready to stop for a 90* left turn. Turn is right at the bottom of a short but very steep hill. On gravel. Brakes went to the floor, emergency brake went to the floor and neither worked! Since I had a manual I downshifted but engine braking only slows it down so much and I needed it faster, so I made the turn without stopping and going a heck of a lot faster than I care to admit. Sorta did a drift to make the corner. Had it been just a flat ditch in front of me I wouldn't have tried to turn but it was a steep drop off so rather try to make the corner.

once I got home I checked out the reservoir, front was filled up full, rear was half full. So I'm gonna venture to guess I had a wheel cylinder go bad cuz all the brake lines looked good from a glance. If nothing out back is bad then I'll replace the master cylinder. Haven't done any brake work for three years so it's about time. Used to always just do front one year and the rear next year, but haven't done that for the past three years...

Your proportining valve should've cut the flow to the rear and you should've still had some kind of front brakes.

At least that's how its supposedly supposed to work

I should have had about 50% braking power but not so. I'm fairly suspicious of the master cylinder failing, it could have been dumping brake fluid into the engine and wouldn't have been enough brake fluid to stall the engine.

Master cylinder seal fails, brake fluid goes into the vacuum booster and enters the engine through the vacuum port.
