How hard is it to swap grills? I want to do that tomorrow but not sure what's involved.

It's pretty easy to change grills. Not sure what brand grill you got but the aftermarket ones aren't the strongest. I would definatly do this mod before you put it on. http://www.dodgeoffroad.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1135

It's just a regular, black oem grill.

Picked up the manual transmission today. Less than $300! Stay tuned for the installation.

installed timbren rubber springs. There is roughly 1000lbs in the bed here; Three 4ft boulders, some smaller rock, some flagstone is hiding in there + tools and some bags of dirt and sand.

meh after thinking about it, maybe more like 800lbs. I can deffinitly feel the improvement in body roll since I have had similar loads the past few weekends as well as improvement in the ride.

The one thing I do not like in the ride is when you hit and sudden dip or bump and the suspension compresses, I can feel a bounce back from the rubber spring, does that make sence?

I would recomend these for a cheap and easy way to improve load handeling!

Edit: pretty big noticable improvement in body roll
2nd Edit: The truck sat exactly level with a very similar load last weekend to help with a bit of referance to the above pic.

Transfer case fluid change. What a pain that was trying to fill it in the confined area.

I had timbrens back when my truck and 1500 suspension. You are just besrely engaging them. I had those squished.

They help a lot. But they are no replacement for heavy duty leaf springs. But they help body roll and load leveling a lot.

Easy, install and forget. Better then air bags IMO.

The bounce you describe is the only drawback. I had really saggy leads so I hit it a lot. even unloaded. Now that will jar your spine!

I still have them even though I have 2500 suspension.
