To all my WA buddies on here - hope you and yours weren't near the train crash. Also hope you don't have to deal with the traffic nightmare.

I just can't believe it could possibly take the turn too fast. I mean our cars today have automatic brakes, parallel parking, and lane departure warnings. Self-driving is coming in 5 years. How does a train even do that? There must be a hundred safety and override systems on there. Terrorism? Anyway, hopefully it will shut up the liberals for a while who want everyone to ditch their cars to ride a government train. Sad day in Tacoma.

There are many things that could cause your clutch issue. You have three options man. I could try and help you, you could eliminate the hydraulics all together (that's what I would do), or put in an auto (I wouldn't )

What's option three?

How would I eliminate the hydraulics? I've thought about it, since big rigs don't use hydros. It's gotta be the clutch itself or something going bad in the trans I guess. Or I didn't donate change to the Salvation Army ringers or something.

Connection is the same on the outside, but, the sensors changed in 00. Need to transfer the electronics from the old trans, to the 'new' one, including the retainer for the governor stuff. (or, just grab the retainer out of the old trans, and buy new electronics.)

Put in a Caterpillar group 31 battery in my v10 after the DEKA battery the PO had in it kicked the bucket last night on our first cold snap of the season (I woke up and the thermometer said -20F). Trimmed the tray by the washer fluid to get it to fit length wise but width and height wise it fits fine. Turns over much faster now, helps that is a 1000cca vs the old 750cca that was in it.

So, you can drive to work on just the battery/starter motor?

Is that a custom cut dash bezel or did you buy one pre-made?

Replaced steering gear, pitman arm, an outer tie rod, and polished the wheels again.
