Torched off the old beat up, factory battery terminals and soldered tinned copper eye connectors onto the ends of the battery cables. That allowed me to upgrade to some of those military style battery terminals. I think it's pretty sweet.

Sorry, no. And it's dark. And I sprayed everything with that red battery terminal junk and it's kind a mess now after that since I didn't try and mask anything. haha.

Mine are similar to these but like 10 bucks on eBay and did not come with all the other stuff, just the terminals. If you try a search for "military battery terminals" you will find nearly infinite possible sources including the popular auto parts and supply stores.

Here's their website:

I see 35 and 37s and lots of weird metric sizes that I'm not used to. They are the highest rated tire so there should be lots of options.

I don't think I should need ram assist with only 33s! Other pickups have great steering with larger tires. How's your steering with 37s?

I think you have either valving issues with the steering box, or, it is simply adjusted too tight. Might consider having a chat with Redhead, and see if they can offer any suggestions.

Ugh, I went through this with the first gear that was so tight they wanted me to adjust it loose. I said no way, your warranty will void if I touch the top nut as they have it rigged to not be used. So I went to their shop and they did it. Unfortunately, they adjusted it too loose and it was as bad as the dodge box. Didn't help the stiffness just added a dead spot. After three trips to their shop and me being not satisfied, they sent me a new one. Sucked having to do the job twice but it seemed better just super tight again. It has loosened a tad over two years but it never seems right. I'm not sure they are all that's cracked up to be. Seemed like kids working in there and having two gears that aren't even as good as stock doesn't make me want to recommend them. And yet my parents' 05 Tahoe has amazing steering with the old gm box.

I'm now on 40s. Honestly it's a little but harder to turn. But if you would jump in my truck you would think it steers like factory. My box might be bad (I know I have a bad TRE) because it wonders. But I'm going to inspect it. I agree you should need a RAM with 33s.
You already got 3 or 4 replacements from redhead so I think that might be your only option.

From what I know a 2500/3500 has a beefier box then the 1500. Maybe try that?

Yeah, everything's the same from 94-02 across Dodge: the old Saginaw box. I may do a different pump this spring with new hoses and original PS oil. I have ATF in there now per Redhead's recommendations.

Trouble is, there's no new pumps out there. Everything is a remanufactured POS. I used to work with industrial pumping systems and the vanes need to be replaced to rebuild a pump, not just seals. Ever seen a rebuild kit with vanes? Nope. Just seals. And that won't do it. So it doesn't matter what brand you get: Autozone or Redhead. They are all crap.
