I just reused the original foam since it was still in good shape. I did watch a video on youtube where the guy redid his and the foam had started to press through the plastic grate the foam sits on. He laid down some plastic sheets that are used on spiral/three ring binder notebooks to give the foam more support and keep it from pressing though any more. Mine had some slight push marks and I did the plastic deal just as prevent.

Another person around can be helpful to either staple or hold the new upholstery in cause its kinda tight fit trying to staple and hold the material at the same time. The staple gun has to be really flat and down tight to get the staples to set. I had to pull nd redo about half the staples I shot cause they weren't sank good. I also found out at least on mine that the release button only works with the lid in the upright position. Thought I put something back together wrong when I was testing the release. Kind of a duh moment.

Your truck came out really nice btw. Hope I get some results something close when I get around to finally doing mine.

Mine, the foam is squashed into the frame, and the leather split where my elbow rests.
I was thinking of using some high density foam as a base, with a thinner layer of some mid weight over that.

Thanks... I’m getting there.
I did get the badges ordered, just waiting for them to arrive.
I’ve got the step inserts to do yet, but other than that, the outside is about done.
Inside I have the console cover, headliner, and dash to redo... the seats are good.

Today I yanked my seats out to replace driver cushion and install seat covers, and ripped out carpet so I can install a rubber mat in place of the carpet. Found out the original jack under pass seat, corroded for whatever reason and literally ate a hole in the floor board. So, I guess Im going to cut and patch. Never done that before, probably going to look terrible haha.

The cushion came from Auto Champ of Texas, on ebay. Seat covers from carcoverplanet.com I ordered the neoprene seat covers. Figured Id try them out. The cushion fit perfect. Havent gotten the covers yet. Hopefully tomorrow.
