Welded in new walker 93322 cat and flo pro 4013 muffler. It’s a little louder than I wanted but still pretty quiet. Won’t know if it drones much until we take the TT out again. But I think besides replacing map sensor to try to improve fuel mileage I’m done working on this thing for a while.
The anti rattle material inside was completely gone, honeycomb still in one piece though. No more annoying tap tap rattling on acceleration and at idle in park.

Couple days late, but I put in a redhead steering box and also rolled through 250,000 on the odometer. It's almost finger tip steering now... I don't know how to drive it anymore. Hahaha

Huh? Both of my Redheads are super stiff. Took over a year to even have pressure return. What did you do to bleed it differently? Did it still come with incorrect ATF? After 4 years and replacing everything twice or more, I'm still unhappy with their products.

It did come with atf, and it probably is stiff compared to most, but my old box was a fight back to center anyways. That was part of the reason for getting a new box, plus slop, plus seals blowing out.
As for bleeding it, I just spent about 20 minutes spinning it slowly lock to lock until it quit taking oil, then I started it and checked a couple time going lock to lock. I
t didn't take anymore oil then so I got it out of the shop and made a 6 hour drive that afternoon to help at a desert race for the weekend. It's still holding the same level this morning as it was Thursday, and I put some rough miles on it this weekend.

Yeah, I've bled it a bunch of times. Flushed it a bunch. Changed the pump. Changed the hoses. Changed the fluid. Changed the pump again. Bled it a dozen more times. It's still tight and the pump is noisy. I'm really getting tired of the steering that is just unfixable on this truck.

Where are you getting your pumps from? I went thru three before I finally got one that was quiet enough..... A couple of 'em wouldn't build pressure at all, they just howled to beat the band. Aftermarket part quality has declined significantly in the last few years.

The last one was a brand new unit from rockauto. Today I got pissed and bled it a couple hundred more times. Literally. I cranked it 24 times off, then on, off, on, off, on, off, on, off. My arms are sore and all that came up were tiny bubbles every time, it never gets all the air out. It also pushes fluid out of the reservoir so I have a nice oil slick on my driveway.

Only thing left is buy a stupid $25 adapter cone to use my vacuum pump on it but it's only sold online. I found this video that's giving me hope:
