Been working on getting my steering figured out. 2nd gen T style, Skyjacker D600 drop pitman arm, RC steering shocks and now this rod end. It's getting better but still not happy with it. Yes everything is new from steering box to balljoints. Pitman arm in first two pic's is a test drop arm. Bolt has been upgraded today to a 5/8ths.

 

Does the tie rod roll when you move the steering? That's the biggest problem I am having.

 

Soooo it's not just my truck, F'n interesting. To answer you yes but not near as much. This was a huge improvment over the tre end for sure, was I happy about drilling that pitman arm hell no lolol.

Lol F'n 2nd gen rust once it starts it's worse than a case of crabs lol. I have new rockers, fenders, inner rockers, one floor pan sitting here waiting for me to get to it. Finding the time and energy is lacking. My focas for the last say 3 months has been steering and new tires. And busy as F at work.

 

I hear you 12hr days 7 days a week here. I have to buy tires and rims and man $4600 is a hard pill to swallow.

 

There is another steering thread by Ramman??? about his steering travails. Tie rod roll was one of his issues as well. He used some GM parts to address that. Check out the last couple pages of his thread.

 

It figures smdfh. I have used a 99 gm 2500 box for years loved it but the ratio was not cutting it with 40x15.50r20. lets just say it ended its life interestly lol. So i went to a v10 box, ugh not good. I will check out his thread for sure, thanks.

Today is work on my system, need to do some promgraming on the Audison Bit one Dsp. If anyone is intereasted in the system ask. Just under 18k rms NO NOT MAX lolol.
