What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?

I would love to know! I far as our trannies go, I think we got good stuff from the factory. Like everyone says...just maintain them properly, and they WILL last a long time/many miles!
My 99 Ram 1500 ext cab s/b 5.9L auto - had 98K when I sold it, stock tranny was still working great, just had a hard shift into second
My 97 Black Betty - used to be a plow truck before I bought it, I drive the **** outta it, lossed over 3 qts of fluid cause of rusted trans lines, and still to this day @ 110K it shifts flawlessly.
MY 96 Indy 500 408 Stroker - I found out it still has a stock 46re, and @ 169K I am really impressed for it to be holding up as well as it is considering there is 412HP at the rear wheels...
Fords are the ones that got sh!tty trannies. My buddies '02 7.3 Stroke is on his 4th tranns @ 213K...pathetic

true, i think people just made a bigger deal out of dodges tranys though. although i do have to agree that ford does have some really chitty tranys, but then they do have their bullet proof ones as well.

I finished installing a new cast aluminum transmission pan to replace the old steel one that was warped and leaking. Transmission pan was from summit racing here's the link: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BMM-10280/. It was a direct replacement on my 46e transmission. No grinding or cutting fins as I read in other places.

Put the new to me used 305 70 16 Goodyear m/ts on the truck and drive it. Amazing what a difference they made. And I'm so glad they came with the 16" wheels because finding new tires in 17s is EXPENSIVE!
Now just to figure out why I started getting less than 10mph with the last tank of gas. I'm thinking its bad gasoline.

my next set of tires will be 37s and will be a little over $800. got a local tire shop that sells the military humvee tires. goodyear wrangler m/t miliary oz 37x12.50-16.5. about $90 per tire, and the rims are about them same price as well. man im gonna love those.
gonna do a PA 3" body, maybe a 3-4" lift, 4.56s and elockers front and rear. =) cant wait
