Last summer I ordered online new shocks for my 2000 "farm truck". It is a project so I have not had time to put them on untill last night. They were the wrong shocks. I still had the hardware in the little bags and the order # was on the boxes. Advance Auto Parts took them back, without any crap, and applied a credit to the shocks I need. I am now a fan of Advance Auto Parts!!

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know such a thing existed. I'll definitely be picking up some of that. I don't recall see it in any autoparts stores. Guess I'll have to order it.

 

 

Damn dude that turned out nice! ....well, I see another project in my future.

I did order some more parts yesterday. My timing set and a few other odds and ends. Gotta get my water pump and oil pan gasket next then just about ready to tear into the plenum project.

 

So I'm guessing tail light bezels now? =)

 

Thanks, one thing I would suggest (and I learned this the hard way), do it in a garage if you can. I was constantly having to clean pollen off everything.

98 ram 1500 4x4 both upper and lower ball joints- and axle u joints and steering stablizer. 2nd day both rear axle bearings and seals 3rd day tranny fluid and filter change with band adjustments and 2 new front shocks $$$ o and a new fram air filter

 

I gave my 98 a new remote start and keyless entry.

 

I registered my new truck. A clean 2001 1500 Sport. This is my second Ram. I had '99 2500 with the Cummins and 5 speed and I loved it. I sold it about a year ago to fund a business and stay out of student loans. I am happy to be driving a Ram again.
