Replaced the rear brakes last week. It's amazing what a difference it makes having functional brakes. As soon as I touch the pedal my truck starts slowing. And I can make the front wheels lock up again. Two return springs on the driver's side had broken and a part of one had been rolling around in there for awhile. The shoes were kind of chewed and there's a groove in the drum. The groove wasn't bad and the drums are barely worn so I kept them. Replaced shoes, wheel cylinders, all springs, and self adjusters.

I'm replacing the fan clutch tonight. If I sit and idle my temperature gauge will climb all the way up but will go down once I rev or get moving. Temp stays normal while driving.

I think that is a question, yes was in 4L.

Last time I did this route, it was much easier. People keep moving the rocks around. hahahahah

My steering stabilizer whined like a ninny, but it still works. Got crushed good.

It's been a while since I have posted anything so thought I'd fill in what I did over the last weekend. I ordered the Hughes FI Air Gap and installed it. Went fairly easy, minus a few glitches that were of my own making. Seat of the pants testing tells me it's an improvement over the keg and with the SCT it makes a difference. Lost some low end power but in the upper RPM range it pulls hard. Have to do something about the air box. Just doesn't fit well with the new intake. A sheet metal guy at work has talked me into letting him fabricate a mounting plate and air box, and a shaker hood to give it a little ram air. I haven't decided if i like that idea but he said he would do it for a 30-pack and a ride in my plane...so why not. I've been hammering out what body work it needed and am trying to decide on color scheme. That's never easy. Leveling kit is here but won't worry about that until the body is perfect.

Included is a few pics of the hughes and install.
