408? IDK yet... It will at the very least have 12:1 comp ratio and true hi-pressure direct injection, thus enabling the use of a turbo or supercharger (In my plans both).

12:1? That seems a bit high for a 360, but I may be wrong. You would def. need custom heads to run that compression ratio...

Yah, 12:1. It would have custom heads on as it would need larger valves. In my plans it also would have a hydraulic valve train allowing for valve timing adjustment on the fly... More power!

Today I drove my '95 for the first time in over a week. It has a bad leak in the radiator, and the bumper is pushed back to the point where turning almost automatically rubs my nice almost brand new 35's. Can't have that. I had to move it from dad's house to moms though, as we were out of parking room with 7 cars/trucks between the two of us...

I miss that truck more than I realized! It drives so nicely, and the NV4500/kevlar clutch combo in it is far smoother than my getrag/SB 13" 450hp OFE combo in my Cummins. I might start doing some work on it today, at least in the removal of busted stuff.

RPM's will jump from like 1800 to 2200 and back again when I'm cruising along at say 60. Like the converter is constantly locking and unlocking.

A 12:1 Comp ratio and boost do not mix, unless you don't ever want to drive it on the street.

hmmmm, idk if you could have all that. Might need to win the lottery.

Do you turn OD off? I know that these transmissions disable OD when they're cold, so maybe it is not quite warm enough and it keeps engaging and disengaging OD.

12:1 comp is reality when you have a TRUE direct injection system, which would be mechanical, and injects DIRECTLY into the cylinders like a diesel does, not this funky indirect injection these SEFI/MPFI EFI systems came with from the factory. Using this injection method eliminates the need for high-octane gasoline, you can use 87 octane just fine in it as there is no worry about knocking. Boost is needed to achieve amazing results. At idle there would be *******ly no boost when no load, at slight load idle (such as PTO, A/C, etc.) a boost of up to 2psi is provided by the supercharger, which also boosts pressure during starting up to 2psi to make starting easier. Believe me guys, this has been years in my thinking, and now finally it is getting closer! Gonna have to start a thread for this!

been having some issues with my 81 not turning over as good as it use to. mixed up some Epsom salt and distilled water and topped up all the battery cells and it seems to be working pretty good again but i will truly know if it solved my problem on Sunday or Monday after the truck has had a chance to sit without starting for 24 or so hours.
