Yeah. They're better than AZ. And likely don't fire people for saving their damn managers with their legally owned firearms.

Are you speaking from personal experience?

Nope. A while back, a AF vet was working the closing shift with his manager at an AZ up north somewhere. I think it was SC. Anyway...they were robbed, the Vet had a lawfully carried Glock in his truck. He escaped to retrieve it, scared off the robbers. Then was promptly fired by AutoZone corporate. He apparently violated a Zero Tolerance company rule that said that no employee shall have a firearm on them for whatever reason.

He wasn't thinking, but he saved his manager's life. AutoZone offered to hire him back after they saw all the backlash and boycotts people did when they found out (me included), but he "found" work elsewhere.

Still pisses me off. And that was back in winter 2012 IIRC....

A job is a job. Just wait for a slow day and they need help pushing buggies, guess who gets called?

Anywho, the grandfather is coming down for a couple of weeks, alternator in his Caddy crapped itself around Staunton, Va. Found a shop close by, said it was all kinds of nasty, to choose just to get the battery charged, and made it about 70ish miles down I81 just outside of Troutville, Va when it died again.

He's got StateFarm and Road Side Assistance, they're gonna tow him the last 100 miles or so to Galax, then I'll pick him up, new alternator tomorrow..

Rough trip
