Sorry bud, you don't know what you are talking about. If anyone CARED to bother building a cummins to make power with no boost it would spank the crap out of an N/A IDI Ford.

I don't really care that it looks like every other car. To me it doesn't and I don't see to many around here.. that and I couldn't beat the deal. If it wasn't turbo and a 6 speed I wouldn't have bothered with buying it. That and the 37mpg is worth it.

 

I didn't say a built engine, I meant entirely stock cummins minus the turbos... A properly built Ford IDI can spank any stock diesel out there, but a built cummins will spank a mildly built IDI no problem. FYI though, a IDI can make well over 1200HP (no nitrous) with the right mods... Don't forget the rubber freeze plugs though .

So have you gotten rif of the 2nd gen yet or what? I think it's time you start thinking about a 12 valve in that '91 of yours.
