Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
[IMG][/IMG]
01 1/2 ton, 85K miles with 318 engine, 46RE automatic tranny. Never (to my knowledge) been reset. Recently up from 13.3 after I switched to plain ole 10W30 synthetic oil (usually use 15W40 Rotella-T cause I have it around for my diesel truck and tractor). Tires are 10 ply LT245/75-16 (rather than P metrics) so this cuts down on the mileage as well.
Only use this truck for drivin to rodeos and to/from off farm job (so mostly highway miles around 80 mph).

Ok, just got my truck a few months ago and have some numbers together. With all city driving I am averaging between 10 - 13 mpgs. I just got back from a trip climbing from about 5800 ft near Denver to about 11000 ft to estes park and averaged 16 mpgs roundtrip. The trip was cold and windy so I am pretty happy with that mileage. I am hoping to add a tonneau cover to cut air friction and a better flowing muffler. Those might help the numbers as well. I use 85 octane gas due to the altitude.
I guess I'm different, I don't really care about MPG. I have another fear and hate PAIN. While people tell me they get 25 to 45 MPG, I just remember If I ever hit them, I'd just slide across the seat in my MOPAR and get out the other door. I'd then wait on the curb as the fire department comes with the jaws of life and cuts them out. I hate pain, body healing and the hospital is expensive, gas is cheep compaired to those costs.

Hi All,
I just checked my truck's mileage today and found that I am getting an honest 15mpg on the Interstate, at 75mph with the cruise control on. I filled up with gas, drove 150 miles and filled up again. It took exactly 10 gallons. I have a 94 Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 (360), 3.55 gears, a four speed automatic transmission, and 265/75R16 General All Terrain AT's. The truck is stock except for a K&N Million Mile washable and reusable filter that fits into the stock air filter box, not the cool tapered round cold air units that I have seen. The General tires weren't my choice, but they were new on the truck (less than 1000 miles on them) when I bought it so I will wear them out before changing to BFG All Terrain TA's. I am the second owner of this truck (CarFax verified this) and after speaking with the original owner he verified the mileage and also that nothing has been modified on the truck. He said he changed the oil religiously and installed new plugs once a year. Other than that, it is what it is, a 94 Ram in very good shape, with 174,899 on the odometer. He informed me that he had an approximately 62 mile (one way) commute to work and drove the truck every day. Everything works, it came from the dealer with a 4 inch lift and ALL of the options available on that model except for power seats, and I am very happy with the truck. Like most of us I would suspect, I would like to have more power and better fuel mileage but all in all I am satisfied. By the way, an easy way to check your speedometer is to get on the Interstate and time yourself from one mile marker to the next. At 60mph it should take exactly 60 seconds from mile post to mile post. Try it sometime, you may be surprised. Take care, and may God Bless you and yours.
