You can see my mods below, not sure if my tires are there, 285/75/16 pro comp xterrains..... I get about 10 to 11 hauling the camper, just about 12 in town. The wife insists we take the car out of town, so no good highway mileage reading.....
In the couple of months I've had my truck, I get a consistent 10 mpg, strictly around town driving. Only mod I know of is the Flowmaster cat back duals.
I get about 10. The down side is going to work with truck empty is a little more than 10. The upside is towing my 11 000 lbs 5th wheel is a little below 10. I love my V10, is is so consistant.
I got a new exhaust, and I like how it sounds so right now im getting around 13mpg, but if I drive like a baby I can get 15.6. I drive a 99 1500 sport 4x4, all i got is throttle body, intake, exhaust ( well that would imporve my mileage)
I have a 01 RAM 1500 5.9l getting 9.7 mpg average, what can I do to inprove this... I have a 1 inch trottle body exender and cold air intake, new plugs and new wires.
I've always gotten 13-15 mpgs throughout the life of the truck. 15 on highway and 13 city. when i drive more agressively, it gets 12 mpgs. The only mod i made that improved mpg is when i bought a snugtop bed cover that improved the aerodynamics. Or you can get a net type tailgate.
I have a 2000 4x4 extra cab and a 5.2L engine. I ran about 12 mpg till I installed an electric coolinf fan in place of the original belt driven cooling fan and A K&N high performance air intake. I now get right at16-17 mpg.
