I don't do too bad. 12-13 around town, 16-18 on the Eway with a bit of a load. (family, and gear for a weekend of camping.)

Is there a way to lock overdrive off? I do very short city driving and figure my tranny would like it.

Should be a button on the end of the gearshifter that will lock it out. A o/d off light will show up on the cluster

Sorry didn't specify what I meant, I meant is there a way to make it stay off automatically when you turn it on?

Probably, somehow, someway that im not aware off. It's not that hard to just push the button when you go to drive.

It'd become A habit real quick

I get 17mpg in the city and 19mpg on the highway. Of course, my truck is 2WD and I take it easy to conserve gasoline. People think I'm crazy to try to conserve fuel, but to me, it's like trying to beat your last high score in a video game.
