GOOD GOD! i would not touch ANYTHING with over 200k! ESPECIALLY FOR 12 FRIGGIN GRAND i don't care if it is a cummins. the rest of the truck will fall apart in a couple years. god bless.. i hated cash for clunkers it drove up the prices on every single used car on the market. i saw a truck like mine but stock with 121k and it was a 97 and they was wanting 10K FOR IT. and people think "gee its a cummins so lets raise the price 5000 more than its worth" bah humbug im done

12K is just way out of the ballpark. And sure, you start out 'high', but, not ridiculously so....... maybe the market in his area is so screwed up, he actually considers that 'reasonable'...... beats me.
Cash for clunkers failed in its intent on many scores, and gutted the used truck market. oh well.

Hahns yes if a truck is treated right high mileage doesnt mean everything is going to fall apart but usually(not always) people buy trucks with the cummins for work not just to have, so there is more wear and tear on the frame, springs, bushings, jointsand other parts of the truck and if not paid attention too at around 200k these things tend to all go at once, and unless your ready for it you can end up, upside down
