We are screwed
You know i am actually surprised on how many people know about this, I found out from the commercial while watching football lol.
I think on the relibilty stand point its a new age motor so it will last a while, the whole motor is dead at 100k miles i think died when fuel injection was standered and im not talking about EFI. I mean come on i met this guy who has 200k+ on his 5.7 hemi and drags it with NOS and stock internals but different heads and hey that still runs. with proper maintnence any motor can last.
The main thing that surprised me about the whole thing is the fact that it is a turbo gas motor in a truck that is not claiming to be high performance, but like you guys said who knows how much more power you can get out of it with out spending alot.
Im just waiting for dodge to comeout and put a cummins either in a 1500 or a dakota. a 4bt or something of that nature would be nice or even bring back the 5.9 and put it in the 1500. something that will tow what you need get good mpg and has reliabilty that will be cool.
I love dodge but if another company makes a vehical that appeals to me, it is worth checking out at least

the big three wont release an american half-ton with a diesel cause theres no market for one! (thats what they say.)
if you ever watch bbc there are hundreds of ford rangers with 4-cylinder powerstokes, and four full doors.

V6 or V8 diesel? The V layout is not an efficient design for a diesel.
ford seems to have all the areas covered for 2011, yes the ecoboost is a bad boy, but have you seen the 6.2L boss for the f150? 412 hp/435ft/lbs
they've already proven the 2011 5-oh mustang woops ***
the in-house 6.7 powerstroke is aslo looking good w/ 400hp/800tq more than any other...
ford had planned to do a 4.6 diesel or something for the f150 but, that went down the drain when the ecoboost came... and for good reason
