Her name is Celesta Harvey. She was Miss Rodeo Texas 2010. I had the pleasure of shooting her portfolio shots for the contest.

A little update. Finished sandining and wash again. Started buffing.

This is driver side fender before (huge crease):

And here it is today after buffing:

Hypothetical question (hee hee…) – If there was some orange peel that was missed when sanding, and it suddenly decided to show up after buffing, can one just sand some more with 2000 grit and re-buff?

Also, if a spot is burned through clear, can another shot of clear over the spot be sprayed on and then sanded and rebuffed? Hypothetical here……

Latest update:

Finished buffing today. Bed is not crooked, it is the way is is hanging out of the garage and I am leaning.....(plywood piece in bed probably contribute to the appearance of leaning).

Put lights back in and read door glass is ready to go in. Ordered new door weatherstripping, new tail lights, sound deadening mat for under new carpet, new side moulding, third brake light, AC Condenser and Drier, and front bumper trim pieces.

Looking at e-fan and electric brake controller and waiting on carpet samples to make selection, and bed liner. Considering new wheels and then add new set of tires.

I have a couple of places that I need to do a little touch up and after installing weatherstripping a good wash is in order.

Windows in, weatherstrips in, mirrors on, and lights installed (new tail and 3rd brake light on the way).

Ready to tuck spare back underneath and install rear bumper. New trim for front bumper on the way along with Raptor Liner. Also waiting on new AC condenser and drier before installing bumper as well as new trim for bumper on order. Faded plastic looks really bad on new paint!

Thanks guys. It is good to have this much done, but after a real good wash job and out in sunblight, there are a couple of spots to do a little touch up work. But it is a lot better than what it was when I got the truck.

Can't wait for all the other parts to arrive. I do know I need much better lighting in the garage as some of the things that need touch up were not noticeable in the garage or I would have taken care of it at the time. But live and learn.... My wife thinks the spots are good enough, but considering the other projects I have lines up, I have to learn to get it right and how to fix spots. This truck has provided a good learning experience.

I want to thank all of you for your encouragement, support, and technical advice throughout this process. Without that, I would probably not have attempted this.

Can't wait to get it finished and start driving it. Yota breaking down on me in Austin a couple weeks ago kind of made me realize the importance of a back up driver considering the amount of travel I do.

Metallic Black at that....Nothing like making the first attempt a real challenge!
