Took off early again today…..

Decided to do a little touch up on paint work.

There was slight orange peel on front edge of hood, so wet sanded with 2000 grit.

Had a little bit of orange peel at door handle as well. Hard to sand and buff with handle installed. Should have removed from the beginning. So a little sanding here.

Holes for door handles had crud around edge of door handle, including year of dirt and then compound, so I decided to clean it up and spray it.

Door handle opening masked and then spray painted.

And the door handles themselves were pretty ugly. Found a new set for about $15.00 each.

Gotta get as much done as possible. Going to Ranger – Tampa Bay game tomorrow, and then a couple Maverick games next week, with another work trip to Austin in between. I’m thinking Ram on the road next week!

A little work today…..

Got the new door handles installed today:. The keepr to keep the door latch rod in place was very tight. Complicated by cramped working space, similar to crank position sensor, and a lack of visibility, i had to rmove handle and trim the opeing in the keeper. Looks like it was designed for a smaller diameter rod.

A little more work today…..Then off to Arlington to watch the Rangers deliver some revenge for last night over Tampa Bay!

Parts for bumper should be here Tuesday, and AC condenser will be delivered Monday. Probably won’t get to work on it Monday as I have to go to Oklahoma to move my dad’s tractor to his new place on Tuesday.

Worst defect was some sanding scratches when I got in a hurry. Lesson – don’t rush!

Thank you.

Yeah...goood thing you aren't a Tampa Bay fan! .. lol ..

Went to the game last night and sudedendly saw a FB post from my brother's grand daughter. It was nearly the exact same view of the field from where I was sitting. She was sitting in the next section about 40 feet away! She lives about 200 miles from me, and I haven't seen her since my mother's funeral last July. It is a small world sometimes!

Rangers - 16-5 (.762)
Yankees - behind the Rangers! (in case anyone wasn't sure....lol...)
