Your Plenum Gasket Pictures -- Post Up

Heres a pic of mine at 110k miles, gasket was blown in about 3 spots, replaced it with the hughes plenum kit, grade 8 bolts and mr gasket - gasket

Here a pic after scrubing it for about an hour with oven cleaner and stainless steel scrubbers

Here is a pic of mine with 132k miles, i think its still the original, the piece that's missing was there when i took it off, wasn't a complete blow out but almost was.

So you think it broke due to disassembly, like merc225hp?

Judging by the oil pattern on the pan though, it looks like it came through there and settled out in the fan like pattern. The majority of it seems to have pooled up towards the bottom, per your picture.

Im not sure if your referring to my picture but if you are then yea, i picked the piece off after i took the plate out, you can still see where the gasket was.

Felpro or dorman or mopar. I read where purpldodge used mopar. Is that the recommended gasketing to use? what are the thoughts on that?

Thanks dude. Tell your friends, tell you momma, your cousins, yadda yadda.

Make sure you link to this thread when ppl egregiously have not done their homework about evaluating their plenum gasket to see what one looks like in conjunction with the normal operation of the stupid little PCV!!

Here's the old one you can see the one spot were its was almost blown out this was at 175k

Here's the new plate installed, eBay aluminum plate and fel pro gasket. Rtv on gasket and red loc-tite on pan bolts, that sh^t is never gonna leak
