32, 33 in just over a month. Do all my own work, unless I dont feel like it, even then still do if I cant afford to have it done. Been working on cars since I was 7-8. Started with helping my Grandfather and Uncle. Since I learned the mechanic side of things from them and just diggin in, took autobody at the vocational school. While working at one body shop a few years ago I got ASE cert. for Body amd Paint. Currently I work at a small factory doing maintainance. For the same company, the wife and I were set up to "paint" the parts we run with an adhesive. That started after the owner found out I had ASE cert. Now I work whenever needed for maintainance and do paint and my wife works 2nd shift for the same company.

22 in a few days. Living off of "working welfare checks" (military) outside of Camp Lejeune I haven't been able to find a "great mechanic" that wont over charge you, never looked enough either. Also have a over-supportive wife that loves buying tools and is helping/learning. She has already done a waterpump, brakes, shocks, Ujoints ect.. on the truck herself lol me of course standing there with a beer in hand making her think and recite why she is removing a certain fastener or hose "because the manual said soo" is a common response from her . Will soon be tackling my first transmission that should be an awesome learning curve... why not? lol

I'm only 25 but been around cars since I was born. Been doing the help fix things on the parents vehicles until I got my own then started learning everything I could. Had my vehicle to the shop once or twice and didn't have very good experiences and vowed to never take them to one again.

Been modding and upgrading since my first truck. If I don't know something, some one who does is a forum post or phone call away.

67, be 68 this year. Been working on, modifying, rebuilding autos ever since I became a teenager and automatically knew everything there was to know about auto mechanics. Have enjoyed it as a hobby unless something needs work and I absolutely have to fix it. Don't think I've ever had a car or truck that I haven't modified in one way or the other. Still think that a Ford flathead V8 with dual burnt out glasspacks is the sweetest sounding thing going. I've probably spent about as much time under them as I have in them.
