Tour the country doing gear installs? That would be fun.

The Dodge Forum is NOT a dating site -- gay or otherwise.

I am 23 and have had a fascination with everything mechanical since I was 3, I would consider myself pretty adept in the way of mechanics and do all my own work, but like most there is just certain things left to the professionals. Every thing I have learned about vehicles has been from my father and grandfather and other trusted mentors. I first fell in love with Rams when my grandfather bought a brand new 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 CTD and again when my uncle bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 CTD 4x4.

I have rebuit countless fronte ends, re-wired completely my 92 Ram (that still does not want to run), taken out and apart rear ends, can not tell you how many A518 trannies I have taken up and down out of my truck ('92), done bodywork. I do not have a problem with diving into my vehicles and coming up with new ideas along the way, I mean come on I am putting a 5.2L magnum and NV3500 in a 1972 Plymouth Scamp, can you say fabrication

I am 31, I have had 12 years experience of being a punchout technician for a private builder, did pretty much every aspect of residential building, from pushing a broom in the beginning to running job sites at the end and everything in between.

Mechanically inclined yes, but getting over the fear of these damn engines and things that I am not too familiar with, not so easy. Could I have done my plenum repair? Yes, but it might have taken me a weekend and a lot of labeling to do it.
