smoked by a hemi
Having owned both a 5.9 2nd Gen and a Hemi 3rd Gen I can tell you it's NO comparison. Although gearing can make a huge difference off the line. Both my trucks had 3.92 gears stock and I went to 35" tires on each.
Never changed the gears on my 2nd Gen but when I went to 4.56s on my Hemi you wouldn't believe how much difference it made.
The transmissions make a good bit of difference as well. The 545rfe doesn't have as much parasitic HP loss to the wheels as the 2nd Gen trannies do, so even if they had the same HP at the crank, the 3rd Gen gets more power to the rear wheels...

Yea I will race them and mostly every single time I will pull on them till about 55-60mph and then they will just walk all over me.. BUT!!!!! When I race my buddy he can walk away from me from 60 to about 107 and then I will pass him.. Mainly cause his truck is governd at 107... Still makes me feel special lol
