I hope you don't mind me jacking up your thread a bit WK. I really like the design myself and was thinking about doing something similar. Doesn't even look like he used a bender and it turned out great.

Not a threadjack at all. It's a Dodge and it's a fullsize...

Yes I know it and we've talked a few times. He is located down in the San Diego area last I recall. He is running the Rocktrac 4:1 tcase and I've tapped him for info on that along with another guy. He hasn't run the Rubicon yet and I've extended an offer to him in the past. Hope we can coordinate some day.

His bumper is fully welded to the front cross member and yah I don't think a bender was used. Looks good in that style.

It's shown in realtime so you get a sense of the pace. It's quite painful and is also why I slapped in a few songs.

Thanks for showing...........I've lost a rear spacer or two somehow. Nice VID. I'm in the process of a gearing change first. Your 2013 incident made me cringe. I'll have to figure out what to do on my 97 (drooping a tad on the bed).

Look forward to this VID of same location when it comes out. K.

Just to be clear, that video is not from the Rubicon. It's a trail in the vicinity of it called Hell Hole.

Your question is pretty open-ended. Really depends on how setup the fullsize is. I'm going to assume you mean our trucks. 2 years ago I ran about 25% of the trail. I was only 4" effective lift, no rear shackle flip, and on my 35s. i describe it early on in this thread. That 25% got me to Little Sluice, one of the major points of interest. The trail is so variable it's hard to characterize in general. But for the portion I ran it was a challenge 100% of the time. Spotting was about 50% of the time. Nothing tight in that portion, just the need for driveshaft clearance was needed. So I had to be much more prescriptive on my lines.

The rest of the trail, which I have been on but not in my rig, would surely incur body damage. I'm awaiting to do some other mods before making that attempt. My buddy in a standard cab on 38s and ~8" lift, ARBs, etc. still incurred nice bed and cab gashes. When he upgraded to 40s and other stuff, he still got some....but his choice of lines played a factor.

Nukle,
Are you using your truck this fall to run the Rubi? I always enjoy your video's, maybe not the music but the action is good.

My tranny is being shipped today from Cali so I should have it next week sometime.

Cool I'll be watching to see your truck on the Rubi.

I am going to do my damnedest to make it down there for the run. So shoot me an email so I can give you the information you need.

I'm an old fart so I like my Country & Western with a touch of classic rock thrown in for good measure.

Yep once the tranny is here it is time to get it and the engine installed. I might have the darn thing running by the end of May but I'll guess more like middle of June.
