He was running 40s basically. They were bias ply iirc.
Hitting rocks is quite variable. Completely depends on the driver style. I'm probably the most dainty... lol Rear diff does alot of scraping w/o any worry. hahaha Blazer smacked that rock coming down. He regularly bends and snaps leaf springs. It's a trailered rig so....
Here's ones set of rocks I rolled.

We might wheel tomorrow at the OHV again. Friend of the Dak has built FJ40. I love those things and it will be next build in a few years to do with my girls.
Today it was time change the diff fluid in the rear and to create a temporary mount for the Black Box. I also sleeved my ARB air lines with general air hose for extra protection.
Break in time for the new rear gears is roughly 500 miles. I ended up with just about 900.
Best tip to break the seal is a putty knife. Tap into it and it will give you enough relief to put a pry bar in.
Very happy with the mesh pattern
RTV
Put the RuffStuff Cover on.
Here is the support for the BB. It's bolted to the factory cross member.

hhaha, me thinks you saw the pictures in another place...trifecta.
Thanks
On this messing around day was the first time I thought I had the ARBs working, where in fact they never were. This was because I lapsed in turning on my master power switch, the parking lights. lol Just wasn't all there that day, however, drove that pyramid open/open. On another obstacle only half way. It was quite a laugh yesterday after realizing.
Only takes 1x to learn something, for the most part.
Thanks

^WK, I've enjoyed watching the progress of your rig, and all that you teach and show regarding content. This last photo of your truck the front differential is almost ready to scrape a rock. So that alone would drive me nuts. So this is just a comment.
But here is the question I have. How do these Lockers work, is it just as simple as switch on from a stopped position and the switch off when no longer needed?
Sorry for the dumb question, but I had a truck one time that had a switch for differential lock, but there was this laundry list one had to do/precautions to take.
Are there general rules for using lockers?
Edit 1........eg. with lockers "less than 1500 RPM" auto and wheel spin?
K.
