Thanks dudes.

Only adds about 20 lbs.

The steering is tight as can be. The steering knuckle still has about 3/16" to .25" before hitting stop. Completely fine for getting around for awhile. I'll be changing the tie rods out for offset ones by RuffStuff. They still have in development the Y-link TRE Offset one, expected release end of summer. Those will give more clearance.

Mocking up shock towers today with some EMT. Have run through alot of brainstorming. We ruled out using the RuffStuff towers due to envelope size too large.

Oh and Ham Bone, forgot a detail about the driveshaft question you had. It will get longer and have more separation from link.

I've got his off-set TRE's for the new tie rod I'm going to build for the Jeep as I need more clearance too. I'd love to have a panhard rod with a bend in it like yours to help me clear my diff. I made mine out of some DOM tubing so it is just a straight piece.

So do I take it you're driving it now since you said the steering is light.

Hey WM, no not drive-able. Just saying the components are very close to eachother. I've been working on this for about 5 work days. I'm not slow or fast, but alot accomplished in that time.

Did some coilover tower mockup that I'm going to run with. Then moved onto cycling the axle. It looked like I would get full droop from how it's set on the jack stands. Remember, my target is not full rock crawling specs, but perhaps 75%. I'm plenty happy with that.

@HB -- I stand corrected...I did get some DS contact. Driverside at full stuff +. This means it was stuffed way more then where I'll put bumpstops and was with stock driveshaft position. My driveshaft will position will change, which will improve the clearance. Also I can move the upper link up an inch, yet that will likely contact exhaust. There are a couple other things possible to try if need be too. So I'm good for now.

Holy smokes, that's HOT!

I would be hiding inside, with the a/c cranked up.... I just can deal with that kind of heat. (aggravates my health issues.)

We have had 102 for 2 days up here in Washington. But I am up in the mountains and we have warmer weather than on the coast.

None is as hot as it was in Iraq plus I'm not packing a 9mil, M16, flack vest, 6 30 round mags for M16, 3 11 round mags for the 9mil, Kevlar helmet & a camel back with 2 liters of water in it. And it was 125-130 out and I walked 2-3 miles in it every 4 hours.
