FYI this steering was recalled by mopar for snapping the TRE'S right off. Not much of an "UPGRADE" if it snaps in half. TRE'S for this set up is no larger then stock, only the bars are larger. 00-newer all have the same tapper. 99-older have a smaller tapper can not be used in the 00-newer rams. 98-99hd set up the TRE'S are indeed larger making it a "UPGRADE" over stock but can not be used on 00-newer due to the larger tapper of those's years. And the 08.5 steering is none greaseable so they wear out much faster. http://www.dodgeoffroad.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1422 http://www.dodgeoffroad.com/store_DORsteering.php

Yes Dodge had/has a recall on this steering system, but DOR has just as many if not bigger problems with that system as well. A google search on it and you will find many complaints/failures about it on a few forums.

For those interested I managed to break down that kit into separate part numbers. As of yet I have not found them made in the Moog line or any other line other than Dodge.

Break down of the Dodge steering kit for the 08.5+ kit, part number has changed up to 52122362AJ

68038055AD Pass side HD outer tre

68034233AA TIE ROD ADJUSTER TUBE, drivers side lower

68036726AB CENTER LINK or drag link (long)

68034229AB ADJUSTER TUBE, drag link

68036940AD CENTER LINK 4WD, INNER (short tre to pitman arm)

68038054AD INNER TIE ROD, drivers side

There was a recall yes.

This is the upgraded version. You cannot legally sell a safety recall part. At least not at the dealership. There was a part number change on the left tie rod. Which was the one that was breaking unless you had a perfect alignment.

I am trying to get more part numbers tomorrow.

Those part numbers came right from the dealers part guy this week, nothing to change or up date number wise.

Ok. My part number for the assembly ended in H. I think. Because the parts guy was like "oh that's recalled you need to change it to this part number"
