How much of a b!tich is it to remove?

Might be something zman encounters on his junk yard runs too....

pretty easy actually but its on the trans, so you have to get on the ground...

ok, small problem... park, is reverse. reverse, is neutral. neutral, is drive, and so on...

how can i fix that? i found the bushing for the torque rod, as i stated in an earlier post.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

If you look at the linkage on the engine firewall going down to your tranny their is a clamp that you can loosen up and adjust your pointer to be in the correct place. So what you do is put the truck in park, loosen clamp, adjust so pointer is in park, retighten clamp and try it out to make sure it works properly.

its actually like that. shift inficator is showing.the right gears but the transmission is arguing it. with the shift lever in park its in reverse meaning i cant start my truck... kinda sucks...

good advice! gonna try that when i get home. hopefully tjere will be enough light still. if not ill do it tomorrow morning.

You can start it in neutral... But What wildman said should work for you.. There is also a pointer adjustment behind the knee panel under the wheel.. If that isnt the one he is talking about.
