no, its only the mt2500... i wonder if i swap out the pickup from the 5.2, if that would work.
also, i just remembered... there was one wire on the upstream o2 that had a portion of bare wire by the base of the sensor. would that cause a problem?
I think the pick up is the same, but don't hold me to it. If bare wire shorts on something it could cause a problem.
Check and verify timing marks are still lined up, HB and Dizzy plate too rotor. Me I would loosen off the dizy turn it one way or the other with the truck running to see if it improves things find the sweet spot lock it down then reset the fuel sync, but that's me.

well, i think i figured out the backfiring thru the TB issue....
i had to replace the crank sensor due to a ripped off wire.
i bought this one. i think that may b the issue. i remember seeing that these truck are finicky when it comes to crank sensors. i should have went to napa to get it!
