Should be some numbers stamped into the passenger side axle tube. Can determine what you got from those.

Installed the AFR gauge, found out I don't have the right cord to connect it to my laptop. I'll order that on payday next week... but just general driving its almost spot on around 14.7, but I went WOT once and it scared me. Running really lean at WOT... not doing that again until fixed.

I took the time last night to see what you are having to go through for this effort. Thanks for sharing (I was reading up on the company Innovate). I have accidentally red lined one, back in my manual days. K.

Yep BOM search on Dana Spicers site will tell you everything. I still need to do that for my axles haha.

Been talking to the guy I got the front axle from. I can still get that transfer case for $100 and the rear 70 for $300. The 70 I have laying around is out of a 1993 3/4 ton Ram. I haven't checked the numbers on it, but from some general research it doesn't look like there are many gear choices for it.

So I might try to sell it this summer and just get this matching axle from this guy's 97. They have better gear choices it looks like it. But I can't pass up a NP241DHD for $100 lol

Ordered a new cord to be able to hook up my AFR to my computer. $41 hurts the wallet, but I need this done soon.

Anyway, I have an internship 300 miles away from home, so there won't be any time to work on it or play with it until I return in August. I leave on Mother's day, so time is getting thin here. I'll hopefully pick up that transfer case next week.

I'll be hitting the offroad park Memorial weekend, and I finally found someone to trailer it! The past 5 times I had to drive it down there, be nice to it, and be able to drive it back. Now I get to actually beat the crud out of it!! Gotta show up those Jeeps somehow! And on the likely chance something breaks, I'll have the trailer and a couple spare axles waiting at home for it .

This post barely had anything to do with my "build" but I needed to get some thoughts out of my head.

Well that Dana 70 I have is a Dana 70U which is hard to find gears and parts for and what you can find is expensive. The Dana 70 out of that parts truck is also a 70U... So I might just say eff it and use my buddy's Dana 60 rear that's out of a 78 F250.

lol hard? Depends on what gears, which you didn't say. You can get 5.13s from West Coast Differential, 4wheelparts, Justdifferentials.com, etc. master install kits roughly about $150. There are no 5.38.
