Lockers on the hubs probably mean locking hubs. Dodge hasn't had locking hubs for awhile, and for sure not in the 2nd gen ram. Similar year fords did, my dad's 97 f350 power stroke had locking hubs. Or he mean locking differentials. Either way, it mean it has had serious work done on it. Or he has absolutely no clue what is going on with it.

There are locking hub conversions available out there in the world. They ain't cheap either. Easy to see if it has them or not though. Just look at the front hubs. If there is a **** you can turn there.... locking hubs. If not.... well, then it is something else. have to go digging to see exactly what.

Someone most likely installed Ford Knuckles and the part time hubs. This is a good upgrade well worth it in my books. I have plans to do this on my 60 as well.

It's a little rusty under there but I'm okay with that. Any truck I get is getting the sandblast and paint treatment on the frame anyways. Can anyone help me figure out what these are? The front almost looks to me like a 44

Pass just walk no just run away. I see all kinds of iffy things going on, one is the bent pitman arm, next it has heim joint steering big no no for the street, missing part time hub allen screws, then stacked blocks, mickey mouse rear shock brackets, messed up brake lines and thats just whats in the pix. So much money has to go into it my offer would be $1000-$1500

The front diff is, but someone has done the Ford knuckle conversion on it, the rear I have to go look at pix of diff covers to see what it is, it might be a Dana 80 "might" that is.

Would you like me to see whats out here for tucks that are for sale? I was on Kijiji last night and saw a couple that might be up your alley. Or you can check out kijiji in BC and I can go look at the trucks for you. Just an offer thats all.

Thank you for the offer. If you would like, sure. But only when you got the time. I appreciate it. The reason I am looking for a truck is because I would like a quad cab and a better body. I have a lot of money in mine but I don't think it's worth putting any more money into it. It's a regular cab and the body is bad. I've installed new fenders, rockers and cab corners but its everything else. Needs a box, doors, new floor an a paint job. After all that plus more mods like 60's, I don't think it's worth it.

I've been trying to find a truck that already has a lot done like a lift and such but I may have to find a truck without a lift. The ones lifted are either 1500s, have bad body's or have been heavily mudded. I have no problems installing a lift myself its just the price. I would hate to buy a new lift for a 15+ year old truck. If I went with a 7 inch I'm looking at like $1500+. But it's a truck I plan to mod, keep in great shape and keep for a long time.

Then how much you invest in it, vs. what it is 'worth' isn't nearly as relevant. If you were looking for something to buy, build, and sell at a profit, yeah, I could see it. Otherwise, if you plan on driving it for the foreseeable future, get a truck that has the options you want, and then install the mods you want.

True enough. In the back of my head though there's always the value factor. Like my truck.. With my new tires, I'm at $5000. It's worth $4000 on a good day. With a body restoration and mods it would be a $10,000 truck and its not what I want at the end of the day and still only worth $6000. I do see your point. I will start searching for stock trucks with a mint body and go from there. Maybe I could finally find the red ram I'm looking for :P
