So really all you are saying when you want higher minimum wage is: I want to raise the cost of living where I live. I'm not quite paying enough.

I'm not saying this to be mean to anyone, but if you aren't a kid in high school or fresh out of high school going to college and working full time/part time while you are in school, then you are a LOSER if you are making minimum wage...

And why would you be a loser? You either dropped out of school because you were too busy knocking up chicks instead of doing homework and going to college, so you are getting exactly what you deserve.

Don't like making minimum wage? go to school and learn some skills worth paying for...

working at mcdonalds flipping burgers, or working as a cashier at walmart going *boop* *boop* *boop* ringing up my groceries are not trades that should make more than minimum wage. They are trades for losers, or students needing a brainless job to make a little money while they are in school/college.

Just how brainless is being a walmart cashier? They have 10 self checkout registers!!! customers can check themselves out! no cashier needed because it is so stupid simple to do!
amen (including this parenthesis because 4 characters was too short for DF)

I applaude you sir. Hit the nail on the head.

Unfortunately, we are creating a society that expects handouts from the government and more money for doing nothing. The entitlement generation.

We are no longer a "go and get it" society. We are a "whose going to give me" society.

Part of the problem is we are rewarding bad behavior!

You get tax credits for every child you have which ends up costing taxpayers more money, AND if you are a single mother: you can get WIC, welfare, food stamps, state assistance, etc and there is very little to no regulations on this.

I'm not saying every female does this, but this is how effed up our system is:

If you are a woman and you get knocked up by some random dude while you're out boning dozens of guys without protection or birth control, you can get welfare AND point the finger at a random name and address and say "he's the father" and they will start garnishing your wages to pay this crazy bitch you don't even know who's kid isn't yours!!

This crap seriously happens!

and you basically have a maximum of a 2 year window I believe it is to fight it... but typically what happens is the skank will put her address as your address so she gets the notice letter, then she rips it up and throws it away and then you're on the hook for child support.

and really the only way you can fight it if you do get the notice is to get an attorney and require DNA testing before you pay one dime...

I've even heard cases of women coming after the idiots who donated sperm to the fertility clinic for child support and they have gotten it...

and lets not forget the chick who is getting child support from her underage statutory rape victim.

She was tried and convicted of statutory rape of a little boy she babysat, and she is getting court ordered child support from him!!!

this is the society we live in...

the more kids you have, the more money you get!

Brake Parts: Coolness. I bet you are one of the lucky ones, and your rotors just slip over the hub, unlike mine, which are staked on to the back, with the lug studs.....

Wisdom Teeth: Ouch. I hate getting teeth pulled..... though they do have some good drugs....

So, anyone here good with electricity?

Was talking with the wife on my lunch break today, and the phone cut out (her side, MagicJack).

Anywho I find out on my break that she has no Internet or water. So I get home, she discovers the breaker popped at the barn, first leg down to the well, reset that. I went down to the pump house the battery backup alarm was sounding and holy ****, what did I find? ANTS. Millions of friggin' ants.

The ants had completely taken over the battery backup, took it out, ants still coming out 3 hours later.

It's my theory that the ants caused a short which caused a surge, it took out the MikroTik 2.4/5Ghz Groove up on the hill and the PicoStation at the pump house, completely blew a Cat5 end as you will see.
