The Official 2014 2nd Gen RAM Forum OT thread
So Michigan is going towards a $9.25 minimum wage, kicker is it will take affect in 4 years I think I read.....
It's a nice thing to do, but with the rising cost of food, gas, utilities, etc.... $9.25 in 4 years might as well be $7.50.....
Too little, too late.

But then, I gave up expecting anything even remotely resembling intelligence from government.
^ Never mind what I first said. Should be quite interesting to watch the economic outcome for any small business owner, kinda like the Walmart story with the old Mom & Pop stores. The ramifications will be news worthy to surrounding towns, I'm sure. K.

all raising minimum wage does is raise the price of EVERYTHING!
raising the price of labor raises the cost of business. and when the cost of doing business goes up, the products and services provided by businesses go up as well.
So really all you are saying when you want higher minimum wage is: I want to raise the cost of living where I live. I'm not quite paying enough.
I'm not saying this to be mean to anyone, but if you aren't a kid in high school or fresh out of high school going to college and working full time/part time while you are in school, then you are a LOSER if you are making minimum wage...
And why would you be a loser? You either dropped out of school because you were too busy knocking up chicks, or you were too busy smoking weed/getting drunk and playing video games instead of doing homework and going to college, so you are getting exactly what you deserve.
Don't like making minimum wage? go to school and learn some skills worth paying for...
working at mcdonalds flipping burgers, or working as a cashier at walmart going *boop* *boop* *boop* ringing up my groceries are not trades that should make more than minimum wage. They are trades for losers, or students needing a brainless job to make a little money while they are in school/college.
Just how brainless is being a walmart cashier? They have 10 self checkout registers!!! customers can check themselves out! no cashier needed because it is so stupid simple to do!
