So, anyone here good with electricity?
Was talking with the wife on my lunch break today, and the phone cut out (her side, MagicJack).
Anywho I find out on my break that she has no Internet or water. So I get home, she discovers the breaker popped at the barn, first leg down to the well, reset that. I went down to the pump house the battery backup alarm was sounding and holy ****, what did I find? ANTS. Millions of friggin' ants.
The ants had completely taken over the battery backup, took it out, ants still coming out 3 hours later.
It's my theory that the ants caused a short which caused a surge, it took out the MikroTik 2.4/5Ghz Groove up on the hill and the PicoStation at the pump house, completely blew a Cat5 end as you will see.

They love electrical equipment. Good luck getting rid of them.

all raising minimum wage does is raise the price of EVERYTHING!
raising the price of labor raises the cost of business. and when the cost of doing business goes up, the products and services provided by businesses go up as well.
So really all you are saying when you want higher minimum wage is: I want to raise the cost of living where I live. I'm not quite paying enough.
I'm not saying this to be mean to anyone, but if you aren't a kid in high school or fresh out of high school going to college and working full time/part time while you are in school, then you are a LOSER if you are making minimum wage...
And why would you be a loser? You either dropped out of school because you were too busy knocking up chicks, or you were too busy smoking weed/getting drunk and playing video games instead of doing homework and going to college, so you are getting exactly what you deserve.
Don't like making minimum wage? go to school and learn some skills worth paying for...
working at mcdonalds flipping burgers, or working as a cashier at walmart going *boop* *boop* *boop* ringing up my groceries are not trades that should make more than minimum wage. They are trades for losers, or students needing a brainless job to make a little money while they are in school/college.
Just how brainless is being a walmart cashier? They have 10 self checkout registers!!! customers can check themselves out! no cashier needed because it is so stupid simple to do!

Well I'm retired now but I must be a loser because I got kicked out of high school for being a not so nice kid and then worked full time until I joined the Army. Then I spent 14 years seeing the world and serving my country. In 1992 Uncle Bill decided the USA didn't need as large a military as it had and got rid of 600,000 military members. I was one of those members. Spent 2 years in the inactive reserves doing jobs here and there. Then I realized I missed the military and joined the National Guard. Still had to have a job so I worked here and there. Yes I made more than minimum wage but I sure wasn't getting rich. Then of course Iraq came up and off I went. Came home not able to work so now the government supports me. So I am still un uneducated bum living off the system so I must be a REAL BIG LOSER..........
Woke up to no water this morning
Edit:
It would appear the voltage is all there, 242 when testing the first and last contact on the pressure switch........

Had a bad morning, a HORRIBLE morning rather...
Went out to move the Dodge, looked under the truck like I normally do for cats, all clear, so I started it, and heard an awful clunking noise. Shut it off right away, opened the hood, and DAMN DAMN IT a cat was in the fan. Or rather kitten - our full grown adult cats know better than to be around the vehicles. It was, sadly, ripped to shreds. I feel awful, but not really anything I could have done anyways.

Sorry if my point in that went over your head, but as you can see it was not targeted at you lol.
I have much respect for our active and retired military and I thank you for your service to our country
Speaking of: since you rejoined the military at one point was that after bush got the GI bill pushed through, and if so, were you able to take advantage of that?
All our active duty military should definitely take advantage of the GI bill as it will pay for all if not a large portion of college tuition so you can get yourself a great paying job in the future and not be living paycheck to paycheck.
and if you fully fit my description of a LOSER, that doesn't mean you can't change your path and improve your life. There are plenty of scholarships and grants out there and online or brick and mortar colleges out there to get an education so you can get a better job and improve yourself to where you are making better money rather than expecting handouts.
my point to all of this is that the government and businesses don't hold people back. people hold themselves back because they all posses the power to change their outcome. It just takes hard work and determination to make that change.
side note as well: you can also take skills you have learned in the military and apply them to a civilian job that pays higher than minimum wage
and retirement is different than being a jobless bum. we will all hopefully retire at some point in our lives.
