Hey I have a 97 dodge 2wd and I just bout a 3 inch front and 2inch rear lift kit and I was wondering what kind of problem I'm gonna run into and tire size because I have set of 285/75/16 on it now and it rubs verylitte on left hand turns I was thinking if a set if 35 but idk and how hard would g it be to put the lift in myself or should I get someone else to?

3 inches on a 2wd might be too much for your ball joints. if the kit is from a decent company, they may mention that in the install instructions......

You are going to need at least 5 inches for 35's, and on a 2wd, that means things like new control arms, and such.

3" lift shocks for the front, I have no idea how or if that would differ from a 4wd. Rear should be fine at 2". HY is quite right about it being a lot on your ball joints. If you want more lift look into a 3" body lift. That will give you 6" of lift. Clear 35's then, but you will definitely want to regear the rearend to 4.56... otherwise its a lot of unnecessary stress on the driveline.

For if you should install yourself or not, if you're comfortable and understand the front end, as well have the tools do it yourself. If not have a reputable shop do it.

What is this kit you bought?

I found it, doesnt look bad for $125. Just remember 3" might be a bit much for the ball joints and such.

If you havent ordered anything Id suggest just getting a 2" level for the front and a 2" AAL in the long form. 3" spacers just seem sketchy to me. You wont really notice 1" of lift different. If you go that route you dont have to worry about shocks then.
