Ok, now at 261,118 and burning as much oil as it is, I have decided that this poor engine is too pooped to continue. Still runs strong just can't risk it as this is my work-horse. I just replaced the clutch with a South Bend (I will never run a Centerforce ever again) and had to replace the cracked bell housing we found.

I'm still going to do my cummins swap but I'm going to wait a little while since other obligations have creeped up. Right now though, I'm looking at replacing my tired 360 V8. Anyone have any recommendations on good engines?

2001 1500 5.9 v8 w/hemi. basically the only thing that i havent lost is the paint job and the engine. whole new tranny, front end, suspension, exhaust, electric in the cab, need new seats cause the plastic around the seat belt where it feeds out of the seat is ripped off. new head lights and a new horn. cause the stock horn is the pussiest thing i have ever heard.
